What is same face syndrome?

Same face syndrome, also known as facial dysmorphia or facial monotony, is a rare genetic condition that causes people to have an identical or almost identical appearance. It is caused by mutations in the DNA that regulate facial development.

People with same face syndrome usually have a flat and featureless face, with very little variation in the size or shape of their facial features. This can include the eyes, nose, mouth, cheeks, and forehead. They may also have a smaller than average head size and a flattened facial profile.

Same face syndrome is a very rare condition, with only a few documented cases in medical literature. There is currently no known treatment for the condition, although some people with same face syndrome may benefit from cosmetic surgery or other types of medical intervention. Those who have same face syndrome may experience social stigma or even discrimination due to their unique appearance, which can impact their overall quality of life. Hence, it requires compassionate and empathetic behavior from society towards people having same face syndrome.
